The Chatty Man and the Giant Zucchini

David has really started to talk a lot to himself and can often be heard making various sounds. Mostly 'baaaa', 'gaaaa' and 'maaaa,' with a few 'daaaa' thrown in. He has also really taken to waving his hands around and clapping a lot. It is a lot of fun to listen to and watch, except for the 3 a.m. show which usually starts with a rousing chorus of 'essssss' and builds to a crescendo of other varied vocalizations before he is hushed back to sleep.


This year, we decided to grow zucchini for the first time. This one is the result of not cutting them when they are small. It weighs about 7 pounds!

Oregon

David, Mom and Dad took a trip to Oregon for a family wedding. This was David's second time on an airplane and once again he was as good as gold. Delays due to poor weather and frantic running through airports to catch connecting flights could not stop his smile.

He had a great time visiting and says Oregon is a very nice place, indeed! He even got to put his toes in the Pacific Ocean...not his favourite part of the trip as it was cold! David also cut his fourth tooth on this trip and now has all his front teeth. They are sharp.
