Wow - it has been 11 weeks since we spent that night in the hospital waiting to meet our son in person for the first time. He has grown and grown and his development is a remarkable thing to watch. From his little smiles to his big screams, from his glinting eyes to his tiny feet, from his soft coos to his hard kicks...we could watch him all day. He is getting stronger and bigger every day. It is truly remarkable.

Lately David has taken to imitations in a big way. He will smile when you smile, stick out his tongue back at you, and has even started to mimic some sounds as best he can. He loves to hear, "Whooooooo" for some reason and will often lie there on his play mat giggling away to himself in the morning. We don't have a sensitive enough scale to weigh him, but we think he has got to be close to 12 pounds (5.5 kgs) now. He is certainly a little more difficult to carry in his car seat!

That is certainly a colourful he's in there. He still throwing his mitten around? Do they come with little strings for the jumpers like on snowsuits? How's the car seat working out? You a master of it yet, cause honestly, I couldn't figure the damn thing out. Say "WhooooooooOoooooo" for me.
